Partners

The project is grounded in an established university–community partnership model. Partners contribute domain expertise, employer and community networks, and practical implementation pathways for workshops and piloting.

Boston Women’s Workforce Council (BWWC)

BWWC is a public–private partnership focused on eliminating racial and gender wage gaps through measurement, reporting, and employer convenings. BWWC supports employer recruitment for pilots, co-design of workshops, and dissemination of practical toolkits to workforce stakeholders.

Boston University

The project brings together expertise across the College of Communication, the Department of Sociology, and the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences. Boston University provides research capacity, methodological support, and a platform for public-facing tools and evidence-based briefs.

Local workforce and community organizations (pilot)

Workshops will be delivered with trusted local partners—such as public libraries, workforce boards, community colleges, and women’s organizations—to ensure accessibility and real-world relevance. Partner feedback will continuously refine role maps, portfolio templates, and job-ad decoding materials.
