The Solutions (Demo)

Rather than treating inclusion as a training problem alone, the project pairs system-facing reform with immediate, jobseeker-facing support. The three components below work together: the Workforce Inclusion Observatory makes exclusion in hiring systems visible and actionable; the Skill Navigator helps women navigate the job market as it exists today; and community workshops ensure these tools are accessible, practical, and grounded in real-world contexts.

How the Solution Works

An overview of how the Workforce Inclusion Observatory, Skill Navigator, and community workshops work together in practice.

Workforce Inclusion Observatory

This prototype dashboard illustrates how the Workforce Inclusion Observatory translates job postings and governance signals into actionable insights, helping employers identify mismatches between stated requirements and real career pathways.

Posting signals & language

Credentials • clarity • cues

  • Degree inflation
  • Unclear responsibilities
  • “Culture fit”
  • Excess experience
  • Evidence missing

Flags indicate where postings deter applicants.

“What’s Missing” brief

Plain-language summary

Common issue: broad skill lists without clear evaluation criteria.

Impact: qualified applicants self-select out or fail ATS screening.

Fix: specify priorities, acceptable substitutes, and evidence.

Skill Navigator

The Skill Navigator demo shows how women can translate opaque job postings into role maps, realistic pathways, and portfolio evidence that employers actually recognize.

Credential-aware pathway

What to learn vs. what to prove

Month 1–2: Foundations
Learn role vocabulary, compliance context, and evaluation basics.
Month 3–5: Build evidence
Create 1–2 portfolio artifacts aligned to common requirements.
Month 6–12: Target + apply
Match to job families, tailor materials, prepare for screening.

Navigator prioritizes low-cost, high-return steps.

Evidence employers recognize

Templates emphasize clarity, structure, and accountability.

Job ad decoder

Turn vague requirements into action

Posting says
“Strong culture fit; fast-paced; must be a self-starter.”
Often means
Ambiguous evaluation—prepare structured examples of collaboration, prioritization, and ownership.
What to show
2 STAR stories + one artifact (memo/report) demonstrating clear decision-making.

Decoder reduces reliance on insider networks.

Note: This is a lightweight demo mockup for the proposal site. It will be replaced with real Navigator screens and partner-delivered materials as available.

Workshops & Cohorts

This workshop demo illustrates how community partners use the Skill Navigator and Observatory outputs to deliver practical, cohort-based support that helps women move from confusion to job-ready confidence.
